David Turner has hosted the travel bursars at The Burn House for over 12 years but retired at the end of March 2024. Many past bursars will recall the restful and rousing times there, the ceilidh, the polar challenge at the Loch, the hikes along the river, and drinks beside the roaring fire in the lounge. David says: 'I am looking forward to having more control over my time but I will miss The Burn and my association with the Abe Bailey Tour. It has been uplifting to meet so many Abe Bailey Scholars. I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity and will take away many happy memories from my time at The Burn.'
